Fen Ditton GALLERY- DIALOGUE 4 - Impossible Forms
Fen Ditton just gets more ambitious and alluring with every exhibition. This week is the final of its Dialogue series and the two artists chosen are both outstanding . Both Fred Baier and Kip Gresham have flourished for decades and still develop and innovate. The dialogue will be stimulating. Fred Baier has been a pioneer of computer to analogue art for years . He does, as Peter Dormer writes, 'turn up three-dimensional forms from the seashore of mathematics.’ The results are complex but sensational. He still uses the classic formula of the pencil as a route to the mind, so he manages to straddle the two worlds of creativity like almost no other artis. Kip Gresham has always wanted to be a Print Maker even at a time when it was unfashionable At the celebrated Art School at the University of Newcaste on Tyne, he had the print room to himself. Many will be fascinated to hear him speak about his work
Willard Boepple is a head turning American artist - we have used a Kip Gresham print (below) in this review, seen at the Fen Ditton Gallery earlier, as it informs the vibrancy of his artistic scope.. He was in fact introduced to Kip and his extraordinary prints years ago. Brilliant that Kip’s prints of his work will feature - -in this final Dialogue of art. Boepple’s amazing prints are winningly affordable, we note, and we expect they will be snaffled up at the opening .
